    You need two toggle switches or a three position toggle switch with a spring return on the third position. That’s because there are two steps to starting the car.

    1 – arm the accessories, ignition and fuel pumps.

    2 – activate the starter.

    You can get the switches at SUMMIT but if your electrical system is set up properly using relays you can use switches from RADIO SHACK.

    Built a dune buggy decades ago and used surplus aircraft rocker switches with guards. Problem with toggle switches is that they are too easy to hit accidentally.
