USA Muscle Car road trip pt 1: Drag racing in Reno – Top Gear – BBC

admin December 30th, 2009

TopGear asked:

Part ONE of THREE American road trip videos. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May drive a selection of muscle cars from San Francisco to Utah through the Nevada Mountains. In this first video, the boys review their Challenger SRT8, Supercharged Corvette and Cadillac in the most un-entertaining way possible. Brilliant US road trip video in high quality from BBC award winning car show, Top Gear. Visit www.TopGear.com for all the latest news and car reviews.

The zr1 aint as fast as an SLR, the vette has a top speed of 205, and the SLR has a top sped of about 208 – 209 MPH.

Oh, also, Camaro wasn’t out yet, and Mustang GT, well, it’s good, but it’s no -V car, or Challenger SRT8

idk why he chose a cadillac i mean i never rele considered it a muscle car more a luxury car. i would have expected him to choose a charger or a mustang or a camaro but not a cadillac

just an interesting fact for you anti-american types . . . 50% of ALL AMG models sold, are sold in California ALONE !!! So without us rich americans, you poor euros wouldn’t have mercedes or bmw or ANY british car maker . . . just keep that in mind

The San Francisco joke was kinda funny. Saying its the 14th most populous state in America basically means that their is nothing else good to say about it…lol.

They do, but they would need to ship the car over from the states, which adds another $6000 onto the price, then the import tax, then road tax and insurance which, just to make it harder, doesn’t include the fees for the Low Emissions Zone in London where I live, and then Congestion charge, and finally, fuel, which is so expensive here it is a joke, one day I will break and leave this country. You can imagine what my first purchase will be… the house can wait a while :b
